Entered a Methadone Clinic After 8 Years of Opiates
My life was very normal until I was 18 when I began to use opiates. I consistently did this until I was 26. At 26, I entered a methadone clinic. I am now 29 and it has been one month from my procedure.
Doing Rapid Drug Detox was the best and hardest decision I have ever made. I remember I was waiting in line at my clinic one day, and I started to look around at how everyone looked – tired and old. I knew that if I didn’t do something, I would be in the clinic for the rest of my life. It is still a slow process, but the amazing thing is I didn’t know how numb I was on methadone until now. A breeze hit my face the other day and it was incredible. I never would have noticed something so simple in the almost five years I was on methadone.
So I thank you to everyone involved with my detox. I hope you realize what you do for people. There are no words to fully explain my true gratitude. Thank you more than you will ever know!
